Franco Marinotti, son of one of the most important post-war private modern art collectors, has inherited his father’s talent and sensitivity for the world of art and today manages the Fine Arts Unternehmen, a Swiss company that combines film production with
art-book publishing. Franco is an art house film and video producer and the creator of the PLAY platform for film and video. The PLAY platform has evolved, from the opening of the Play Gallery in Berlin in 2000, to become a vehicle dedicated to the presentation and production of experimental political art films which serve as a counterpoint to the constant torrent of images, with their underlying subliminal advertising, furnished by today’s mass-media. PLAY has also been organizing and promoting for years
the Fair Play film & video festival and awards.
